  1. […] Finally – please take a couple of minutes to reflect on our session tonight and write about it here:  Programming Basics Session One Notes […]

    • Carlos says:

I had a very good impression of the first night of class. I enjoyed the brisk pace and Jim’s command of the material. I also enjoyed the graphic depictions of how things fit together. I was a little unclear about which were the mind maps. I would have liked there to be a little more interaction among the people in the room, a bit of networking, but I could see that we were covering a large quantity of material in a short time which made it impractical.

    Questions?
Will you ever forgive me for this comment? My first try to write and understand this system, and who starts from the serious thoughts? It’s good you have pre-moderation here =)

Now that we’ve had our first session, what do you want to know?
Where is the switcher that turns the programming understanding on?

What could we have done better?
Provide warm temperature or a blankets =)

    Reality:
First session was good. I learned new fact about servers interaction without a User. With this type of information performance I do believe that by the end of the course all of us will find that switcher in our heads and will be able to continue learning programming languages.

  4. Raul Ramos says:

Learned the how the mechanics of web work.
Information passes through a channel and delivered without me having to sweat.
I will always think of the process every time I use the web to research information.

I want to know how to translate the process we did in the assignment into a code or script.
    Jim is better than us.
