Since today was more or less a review of the jQuery we touched upon at the end of the javascript course, reinforcement.
Now that we’ve had our first session, what do you want to know?
jQuery plugins looks interesting, and maybe a bit more about jQuery mobile if you’ve got any information on how it differs from regular jQuery
What did you think was the most valuable thing that happened for you tonight?
The review on the fundamental of jQuery is quite helpful

From the fundamental review, had a basic understanding of how jQuery works.
What will you do with that knowledge?
With the basic of jQuery, to play around the code will get more sense of what jQuery is and how it works.

On the first session, we review the basic of jQuery and played around the code a little bit.
What could we have done better?
Actually, I like it so far.
What did you think was the most valuable thing that happened for you tonight? What did you learn from that? What will you do with that knowledge?
The most valuable and useful thing from this session was getting an overview of what jQuery is and how useful it is. Looking at jQuery before, without any knowledge, always made the language seem so foreign with all the symbols – it made learning seem very daunting. But now that I know a little about the basics of what the symbols mean and how they are shortcuts for JavaScript, learning jQuery no longer seems as challenging and I feel excited to learn more.
Now that we’ve had our first session, what do you want to know? What could we have done better?
As this was just the first session and it focused mainly on the basics, I can’t think of anything specific I would like to know more about yet. All I know is that I do want to learn more – my interest is piqued!
Nor can I think of anything to do differently. While it would have been nice to spend a little more time on actual coding, it’s understandable that the majority of the first class had to be spent on intro and environment setup.

I liked the CDN overview and fallback method.

What could we have done better?
I enjoyed this session but I would like to have coded more.

We covered ‘document traversal’, jQuery libraries. We compared the syntax of jQuery and JavaScript. I’m experimenting with the examples on the home page.
